I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
